Calibrating bioelectric lattice…
A speculative transit simulation for Hamilton 2092. Single-pod MELA units (Magnetic-Elevation Light Array) powered by the Orenda Network's bioelectric mycelium progressively replace the HSR bus system between 2050 and 2092. Sweep the year, watch pods flow, read the lines.
Each MELA unit levitates on a magnetic-elevation rail threaded with bioelectric mycelium from the Orenda substrate. Trunk-lines carry high-frequency service along major corridors, roughly three thousand to forty-eight hundred passengers per hour. Single-pod lines are quieter, slower threads into neighbourhoods, spaced two to three minutes apart.
The public HSR bus grid stays in service through the 2040s. Between 2050 and 2092, lines activate one by one as the Orenda substrate reaches each corridor. Sweep the year slider to watch a bus route fade and its MELA successor light up in green.
The Orenda Network is the bioelectric mycelium lattice beneath Hamilton's streets. It is the energy backbone of the 2092 world, not a wire grid but a living substrate that grew through the city's soil over forty years. Every MELA pod draws its charge from Orenda; every hub is a node where mycelium concentrations peak.
In the larger Hamilton 2092 universe, Orenda also powers the OrgoBots, the Orenda Coil, and the Multi-lens. MELA is the transit face of this substrate, the part of the network that moves people.
Enter the lab and drag the year slider (2026 to 2092). Legacy bus routes fade out near each line's sunset year. MELA lines fade in near their activation year. Pods spawn along active routes, moving at their designed speed. Click any line or hub to open its story panel.
Live Hamilton buses stream through a CORS-free proxy at years before 2048, so the present-day network is a real snapshot, not a mock. Everything after 2048 is speculation, grounded in the canonical data/routes.json.
